Emma is an integrative counsellor and supervisor with her own private practice seeing clients and supervisees 2-3 days per week and managing River Counselling Services around this. Prior to counselling she worked in senior level administration and office management, so River Counselling Services is a true blend of her past career and current vocation. Emma is passionate about supporting trainees through their development and is so proud to be able to offer placement opportunities that support the local community and those in need.

With her foundational training in person-centred counselling, Emma takes a holistic whole person approach to her practice, and life in general. She works exclusively with adults and has a particular interest in trauma and providing a safe space for clients to reconnect with parts of self, integrating academic and theoretical approaches as well as transpersonal practice, underpinned by deep listening, curiosity and presence.
