hello...

River Counselling Services, based in Langport, Somerset, offers low-cost counselling to our local community as well as room hire for both 1-1 therapies and group work, and networking and training events for practitioners. Our low cost counselling sessions utilise trainee counsellors working to nationally recognised qualifications, in order to offer a reduced fee, from £20-£50 per session, with an initial assessment fee of just £25. Depending on the needs of our clients, we also work with qualified counsellors offering concessionary rates. We also provide therapeutic room hire in Langport, with a variety of options including our take on hourly room hire for counsellors, therapists and mental health professionals, through to exclusive use offices. We are situated above a glassworks with the majority of the counselling rooms having beautiful views of the river - hence the name! We have a larger group room for hire, suitable for training and workshops, perfect for facilitating group therapies, offering CPD courses or as a supervision group space.   Finally, we offer (and encourage!) networking events where practitioners can meet colleagues and peers to build connections in a profession that too often can be quite isolating.
